2026–27 Season Outlook
BUYCharlotte committed to White after last season's audition, and LaMelo Ball's departure opens a larger creation lane.
Coby White remains in Charlotte after joining the Hornets during the 2025-26 season and signing a new three-year contract in July. He averaged 15.6 points and 3.0 assists in 21 games with Charlotte, giving the team enough evidence to make him part of its reshaped backcourt. LaMelo Ball's departure materially changes the opportunity. Points and threes remain White's clearest fantasy strengths, but a larger share of the ballhandling could make assists more important to his profile. The upside depends on whether he can combine that added responsibility with enough efficiency and playmaking to become more than a high-volume scorer.
White already proved he can score in Charlotte; the new contract and changed backcourt give him a legitimate opportunity to broaden the fantasy line. BUY.
